The Azure/System Engineer will join our Global IT Operations team based in Eindhoven. Our IT operations department is dedicated to maintaining, improving, and optimizing the IT infrastructure for the entire organization. Reporting to the Global IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the global infrastructure, which includes approximately 12 locations in the Netherlands and abroad.
Job Responsibilities:
- Optimising security posture within NTS
- Installation. monitoring and maintenance of systems
- Project and delivery management for network related projects with 3rd parties
- Consulting on new requirements, projects and activities on IT areas; focusing on quality and overall standards.
- Maintaining and improving (Microsoft) cloud-based environments.
- Providing 2nd tier or above support for issues and incidents getting reported to the 1st tier service team.
- Working in accordance with processes and standards and applying these where appropriate (ITIL, Service level management, SLAs)
- Proposing improvements to processes and standards
- Collaborating with the service teams, applications teams and other IT staff
- Supporting and taking part in projects
- Maintaining information systems
- Creating and performing test procedures
- Travel will occasionally be required for the maintenance and execution of projects.
Job Requirements
- HBO or equivalent based on work experience.
- Experience with complex setups involving Windows, Linux, platform components, SQL, PRTG/Zabbix, Azure logging, IPV4, subnetting, DHCP/BOOTP
- Cloud experience (Azure, Microsoft 365, Endpoint defender, Autopilot), Firewalling (Fortinet, Sophos), Microsoft Windows server, Virtualsation (HyperV, Clustering)
- Language: Excellent rapport in Dutch and English are required; native or close to native speaker.
- Rational thinker: rational, able to solve problems and perform in stressful situations. Being able to see various perspectives, asking questions and evaluating facts to find the right solutions.
- Team player: Being able to listen, share information, assist where required; being reliable and trustworthy are key.
- Self-starter; operating within the team without direct guidance every step. Ability to find and connect to stakeholders and key people.
- Analytical mindset: Visualising problems, fact finding unravelling complex systems and problems into its basic constituents.
- Driving license B requested
