Job description

As a Project Manager NPI within the Advanced Systems business unit of NTS Eindhoven, you will work on high-quality mechatronic assemblies for a leading OEM in the semiconductor industry. You focus on the industrialization of a complex mechatronic assembly that plays a crucial role in the accuracy of the final system.

What makes this role special is that the assembly is still in full development during the setup of the production process. The assembly takes place under ultra-cleanroom conditions, with extreme requirements for accuracy and contamination control. You ensure optimal alignment between functional product requirements and manufacturability, and act as the connecting factor between the customer's development department, engineering, and assembly.

You are responsible for the QLTC objectives of the project: Quality, Logistics, Technology, and Costs. You set targets with all stakeholders, monitor progress against milestones, and adjust where necessary. Additionally, you are the commercial contact point towards the customer and work closely with account management.

You lead a multidisciplinary project team with Supplier Quality Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, and Assembly. You maintain an overview, set clear priorities, and create the conditions for your team to perform optimally.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Defining scope and QLTC targets for the project in consultation with the customer and all internal stakeholders;

• Translating these targets into a supported project plan, from prototype phase to release for volume;

• Ensuring manufacturability and assemblability in product and process design, in close collaboration with the customer's development department;

• Managing the industrialization of complex assembly processes under cleanroom conditions, including qualification and first article inspection;

• Planning and controlling the project on milestones, QLTC frameworks, and engineering changes;

• Reaching commercial agreements in collaboration with account management;

• Periodically reporting on progress, both internally and towards the customer.

Requirements

We are looking for a result-oriented and communicatively strong Project Manager with the following background:

• Completed HBO or WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Technical Business Administration;

• Extensive experience as a Project Manager in multidisciplinary and complex technical projects, preferably in an NPI or industrialization environment;

• Demonstrable experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with high-end mechatronic assemblies;

• Affinity with assembly under cleanroom conditions and knowledge of contamination control;

• Broad knowledge of prototype construction and setting up and improving production processes;

• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI, or IPMA and experience with Lean and Six Sigma;

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.

• Salary from €6,000 to €7,500 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;
