The role of a Supply Chain Director in the high-tech industry is challenging due to the speed of technological innovation, the complexity of products and the global nature of supply chains. This role requires not only in-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, but also a good understanding of technological trends, innovation cycles and the strict requirements for quality and time-to-market.

Job profile

Strategic Supply Chain Management:

Ø Develop an integrated supply chain strategy in line with the rapid pace of innovation in the high-tech industry.

Ø Optimise the end-to-end supply chain, from raw materials to delivery of finished products, focusing on flexibility, speed and cost savings.

Ø Indentify improvement opportunities in the supply chain to increase customer satisfaction

Technology and Innovation Management:

Ø Monitoring technology trends and innovations to improve and adapt supply chain processes to changing market requirements.

Production and Inventory Management:

Ø Coordinate production planning, capacity management and inventory management to ensure that components and finished goods are produced on time and according to specifications.

Risk Management and Continuity:

Ø Develop strategies to mitigate risks in the supply chain, including disruptions due to geopolitical tensions, shortage of materials (such as semiconductors) or natural disasters.

Ø Create back-up plans and redundancy in the supply chain to ensure continuity of deliveries.

Logistics and Distribution Optimisation:

Ø Coordinate efficient global logistics and distribution of products, focusing on speed, reliability and cost control.

Ø Optimise supply chain costs without compromising quality and delivery reliability.

Coaching and Team Development:

Ø Coaching supply chain and logistics teams

Ø Developing talent within the organisation and building a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Collaboration

Ø Collaborating with other departments such as procurement, sales, marketing, sales, finance, R&D and manufacturing to ensure vppr an integrated approach to the supply chain.

Job requirements


Job requirements

Ø Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, logistics, industrial engineering or a related field

Ø Certification in supply chain management (e.g. APICS CSCP, Lean Six Sigma) is a strong plus.

Ø Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain management in a senior management position, preferably in the high-tech industry.

Ø Experience with advanced supply chain management software, such as ERP systems, AI-driven forecasting tools, and automated planning systems.

Ø In-depth knowledge of logistics and distribution processes in a high-tech context.

Ø Leadership experience building multi-functional global teams.

Ø Experience with KPI management, S&OP proccesses

Ø Experience of working in a Matrix organisation
