Job description

At NTS, we make it possible together. Technology inspires and drives us; it is our passion. Every day, we work on unique solutions for complex challenges. Whether it's ultra-complex or ultra-precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver.

Do you want to discover together what is possible? Are you the Quality Engineer who not only solves quality risks but systematically eliminates them by reading trends and translating them into sustainable improvements? Do you have an affinity for New Product Introduction and want to be at the forefront of the process to bring new products into production with quality readiness? Then start as a Quality Engineer at NTS Hengelo and let's make it possible together!

Job description

As a Quality Engineer at NTS Hengelo, you are the quality professional who doesn't wait for deviations, but anticipates them. You combine a sharp analytical eye with a proactive mindset, enabling you to recognize, interpret, and convert deviation patterns into structural process improvements.

An important part of your role revolves around New Product Introduction (NPI). You are involved from the early stages of product development to production-ready transfer: you ensure that new products are controlled and go to the floor with the right quality assurance. In this process, you use tools such as pFMEA and PPAP as a natural part of your approach.

Furthermore, you oversee quality data and trends. You identify patterns in non-conformities, translate them into concrete improvement actions, and ensure that lessons are actually embedded in processes and practices. You work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, and are a strong interlocutor for both customers and suppliers.

Furthermore, your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing quality trend data to identify recurring deviations and translate them into structural improvement actions;

  • Supporting and guiding NPI projects, including performing pFMEA, PPAP, and AQP to ensure product quality at introduction;

  • Conducting root cause analyses (e.g. 8D) for quality issues and monitoring follow-up until a structural solution;

  • Initiating and guiding improvement projects focused on quality and efficiency enhancement in the production environment;

  • Conducting and guiding internal and external audits and following up on findings;

  • Evaluating product deviations and escalating non-conformities to relevant stakeholders;

  • Reporting on quality performance to customers and suppliers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

We are looking for an analytically strong Quality Engineer with a proactive attitude and the following background:

  • Completed HBO education in a technical or business administration field;

  • Several years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a technical or industrial environment;

  • Demonstrable experience with NPI projects and making new products quality-ready;

  • Knowledge and experience with pFMEA, 8D, PPAP, AQP, and 5S; Lean Six Sigma is a plus;

  • Technical insight and preferably knowledge of (fine) mechanical machining or a similar high-tech manufacturing environment;

  • Experience in analyzing quality trend data and translating it into structural improvement measures;

  • Good command of the English language in speech and writing due to drawings, work instructions, and communication on the work floor.

Your benefits

At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions for complex challenges. You will have the freedom and trust to fully utilize and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest in both technology and you as a future colleague!

In this challenge, we offer the following benefits:

  • Salary ranging from €4,500 to €6,000 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;

  • Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days with a full-time position;

  • Personal development and growth opportunities, for example through training and education;

  • Remote work policy: 1 day of remote work per week with a net allowance of €2.40 per day;

  • Annual discretionary budget of €150, usable for vitality, bike plan, or gym via the Alleo app;

  • Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs;

  • Excellent pension scheme via PME;

  • Laptop and mobile phone;

  • Free fresh fruit at work.
