Job description

As a Surface Grinder in the Machining department at NTS Hengelo, you are responsible for the final dimensions of our ultra-precision products. You machine high-precision components to micron accuracy, ensuring that every part that leaves your hands meets the strictest specifications of our customers in the semiconductor and analytical markets.

You independently set up the Jung and/or Blohm surface grinding machines, read drawings and work instructions, and secure workpieces. You check tools, products, and materials, contribute to machining conditions, and accurately measure products during production and upon completion. The work involves one-offs and small series, making no two days the same.

You work in a modern machine park in a pleasant working environment and are responsible for the preventive maintenance of the machines you work on. With your experience and expertise, you actively participate in the process and propose improvements. This way, you make a direct contribution to the quality and continuity of production at NTS.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Independently setting up and operating Jung and/or Blohm surface grinding machines for machining high-precision components;

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions for clamping and machining;

• Measuring products during production and ensuring dimensional tolerances at micron level;

• Performing preventive maintenance on the surface grinding machines to ensure reliable and safe operation;

• Contributing to machining conditions and process improvements to increase the quality and efficiency of the cleaning process.

Requirements

We are looking for a precise and motivated craftsman with the following background:

• Completed MBO education in a technical field;

• Demonstrable work experience as a surface grinder or in a similar machining environment is a plus;

• Ability to work very accurately with an eye for the finest details of high-tech products;

• Proactive and motivated attitude with a team-oriented work approach;

• Willingness to work in a 2-shift system;

• Experience working according to quality and safety regulations in a high-tech production environment;

• Good command of the English language in speech and writing due to drawings, work instructions, and communication in the workplace.

• Salary from €3.200 to €4.300 bruto gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;
