Job description

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer in Advanced Systems at NTS Eindhoven, you are the link between NTS and our suppliers in the series production phase of a project. You ensure that we gain more control over the stability of the quality our suppliers deliver. The focus of the products is mechanical, with an electrical component as well.

Your role has two sides. On one hand, you process and analyze data to determine which suppliers perform well and which do not, sometimes collecting that data yourself, for example through audits. You make the overarching analyses concrete and tailored to our products and projects. On the other hand, you act on those analyses, for example by initiating improvement projects with suppliers or guiding internal improvements in quality inspection.

This position is new within our team. There is already a clear framework for the transition from the NPI phase to the series production phase. While the SQE sets up, maintains, and improves the supplier network for a product, you as an SQA in the series production phase. Therefore, you work closely with the SQEs and our QA, and regularly coordinate with Production Engineers, buyers, and logistics planners.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Conducting audits at suppliers and collecting the necessary quality data;

• Analyzing and interpreting data, such as audit results and KPIs, to make the performance of suppliers transparent;

• Following up on supplier complaints and monitoring appropriate handling;

• Guiding internal containment actions;

• Conducting root cause analyses of quality deviations;

• Initiating and guiding improvement projects with suppliers;

• Initiating and guiding internal improvements in quality inspection.

Requirements

We are looking for an analytical and communicatively strong professional with the following background:

• Minimum HBO level of education and thinking; with extensive relevant experience, a completed HBO education is not a must;

• Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes;

• Knowledge of and experience with quality methodologies such as SPC, 8D, RCA, and FMEA;

• An analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into concrete improvement actions;

• Strong communication skills, so you can get suppliers to the table and guide internal improvement projects;

• Willingness to visit suppliers regularly, mainly within the Netherlands;

• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
