Job description
"At NTS, we make it possible together. Technology inspires and drives us; it is our passion. Every day, we work on unique solutions for complex challenges. Whether it's ultra-complex or ultra-precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver."
Do you want to discover together what is possible? Have you ever started on the CNC lathe or milling machine and are now using that practical knowledge as a work planner or estimator? And do you want to use your experience to determine how complex precision parts with µm accuracy can be made in the smartest and most efficient way? Then start as a Machining Production Planner at NTS Precision Eindhoven and let's make it possible together!
Job Description
As a Machining Production Planner at NTS Precision Eindhoven, you have a challenging role with a lot of responsibility. NTS Precision is a machining company in high-tech manufacturing with about 40 colleagues, the majority of whom work on the production floor. Using the most advanced turning and milling machines, which produce 24/7 thanks to automation and robot loading, we make precision parts for the semiconductor and analytical markets, often in small series with tight tolerances.
You determine how a part is made and what it costs. Based on the technical product documentation from our customers, you first ensure a correct calculation and quote, and then you create the routings so that our CNC programmers and skilled workers know exactly what to do in what order to make an ultra-precise part. Thanks to your own experience on the machine and in work preparation, you know which setup works, which tools are needed, and how much time an operation really takes.
You report to the Managing Director and act as the link between customers, designers, team leaders, skilled workers, planning, supply chain, and (sub)suppliers. The challenge lies in the balance: you ensure that we fully meet customer requirements without unnecessarily compromising our efficiency internally, thus building a smooth and pleasant collaboration with colleagues and customers.
Have you recently transitioned to work preparation? Then we offer you the opportunity to further develop yourself. You will start partly on the shop floor, for example as a CNC Miller, so that you get to know our products, processes, and machines well, and grow on-the-job into a full-fledged role as a work planner.
Your responsibilities also include:
Handling quotation processes: making calculations and issuing quotes based on the technical product documentation from customers;
Assessing customer documentation and change proposals for correctness, completeness, and manufacturability, and providing advice on the design construction of products;
Guiding NPI processes from an early stage, in close collaboration with customers and designers;
Creating routings and machining plans, including setup, machining, and changeover times, in coordination with our CNC programmers;
Designing and having special tools and fixtures made for complex products;
Supporting and guiding our skilled workers in machining and providing technical guidance to suppliers and outsourcing;
Organizing First Article Inspections (FAI), working according to PFMEA, cleanliness, and TAS requirements, ensuring production documentation, and brainstorming improvements.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced work planner with a passion for precision machining and the following background:
Completed technical education at least at MBO 4 level, such as Mechanical Engineering, All-round Machining, or similar;
Practical experience in precision machining as a CNC Miller and/or CNC Turner and knowledge of other machining techniques, such as wire and sink EDM and grinding; knowledge of measurement techniques is a plus;
Experience as a work planner, estimator, or CNC programmer in the machining industry, or initial experience in this role and the ambition to further develop yourself;
Working with µm accuracy, technical drawings, and form and positional tolerances are second nature to you;
Good knowledge of Excel; experience with hyperMILL (CAD/CAM) and Navision (ERP) is a strong plus;
Precise, communicative, and able to switch easily between the office and the shop floor;
Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Your benefits
At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions for complex challenges. You will have the freedom and trust to fully utilize and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest in both technology and in you as a future colleague!
With this challenge, we offer the following benefits:
Salary from €4,400 to €5,500 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;
Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days for a full-time position;
Personal development and growth opportunities, for example through training and courses;
Annual discretionary budget of €150 gross, usable for vitality, bike plan, or gym via the Alleo app;
Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs;
Excellent pension scheme via PME;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Free fresh fruit at work.
